In Sresakthimayeil Institute of Nursing and Research, Kumarapalayam, the World Blood Donor Day was organized on June 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM. The program commenced with a soulful prayer song, setting a serene ambiance for the event. The program was inaugurated by the esteemed nursing principal, Mrs. R. Jamunarani, M. Sc (N), Ph.D., who graced the occasion with her presence .The chief guest for the event was Dr. Saikala, MBBS, DCH, who was honored and acknowledged during the ceremony. Dr. Saikala delivered a speech highlighting the significance and importance of Blood Donor Day, enlightening the audience about the noble act of blood donation. Following the speech, the students of Sresakthimayeil Institute of Nursing and Research performed a skit on stage, focusing on themes and messages related to Blood Donor Day. This creative enactment aimed to raise awareness among the attendees about the benefits and impact of blood donation. Later, the chief guest, Dr. Saikala, distributed prizes to the winners of the poster presentation competition. This competition likely involved students presenting informative and visually appealing posters on the topic of blood donation, further emphasizing the significance of the event .To conclude the program on a patriotic note, the national anthem was sung, fostering a sense of unity and pride among all participants and attendees. The World Blood Donor Day event organized by Sresakthimayeil Institute of Nursing and Research in Kumarapalayam successfully promoted awareness about blood donation, celebrated those who have donated, and inspired others to contribute to this life-saving cause.
