BSc Nursing (Post Basic) or PBSc Nursing is an undergraduate degree course. This 2 years course is designed for candidates who either have a background in Nursing or similar to it. Students can apply for the Post Basic BSc Nursing degree programme after they have completed 10+2 level in Science stream and have a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) along with registration under Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM). Aspirants must note that they have to secure at least 45% to 50% in their 10+2 level in order to be eligible for Post Basic Nursing admission process.

Mode of Admission:

Through Government and Management

  • The course will commence from 1stAugust of the academic year. There shall be no upper age limit for admission to the first year of Post Basic B.Sc.Degree Course in Nursing.
  • Other State candidates must obtain Migration Certificate from the concerned Department.
  • Candidates before seeking admission to any one of the affiliated Nursing Colleges shall obtain an Eligibility certificate from the University by remitting the Prescribed fees along with the Application Form.
  • Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10 +2 or an equivalent Examination recognized by the University for this purpose. Those who have done 10 +2 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission
  • Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N. & R.M with the State Nurses Registration Council
  • Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the Institution a certificate of Medical Fitness certificate from an authorized Medical Officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course.
