Government-quota seats are filled through the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee (Directorate of Medical Education) on a published rank list; management-quota seats are filled directly by the college on academic merit. Eligibility is a B.Sc Nursing degree with 55% aggregate, one year of clinical experience and valid registration.
How do I choose the best nursing college in Tamil Nadu?
+
Check five things a college can prove on paper rather than claim. One, Indian Nursing Council (INC) approval for the exact course you are applying to. Two, registration with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council. Three, affiliation to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, because that is who issues the degree. Four, the size of the teaching hospital where you will do clinical training - a nursing degree is earned at the bedside, so bed count and specialty mix matter more than a brochure. Five, a fee structure published in writing. Ask any college for its approval letter and affiliation certificate; one that cannot show them is a risk whatever a ranking list says. JKKN College of Nursing is INC-approved and TNNMC-registered, affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, and its learners train in a 500+ bedded multi-specialty teaching hospital on the same campus in Komarapalayam, Namakkal district.
