WATER PURIFICATION PLANT VISIT

Water Purification Plant Visit – Learning Beyond the Classroom On 18th March 2026, the 3rd year students of Sree Sakthimayeil Institute of Nursing and Research went on an educational visit to a Water Purification Plant as part of their community health learning experience. The visit provided valuable insights into various processes involved in water purification, including filtration, sedimentation, chlorination, and safe water distribution. Students gained practical knowledge about the importance of clean and safe drinking water in preventing waterborne diseases and promoting public health. This field visit enhanced the students’ understanding of environmental hygiene and reinforced the significance of safe water practices in community health nursing. It was an informative and enriching experience that effectively bridged theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
